Iceland privacy policy
What gets shared.
A plain explanation of website logs, Discord contact, OAuth, and external media under the intended Icelandic framework.
Open a Discord ticket, explain what happened, and we will take it from there. Keep private documents, passwords, and access codes out of the ticket.
Who handles the data
Traceix handles the website data described on this page under Iceland's Act No. 90/2018 and the GDPR as applied in the EEA.
If you have a privacy issue, open a Discord ticket and explain what happened. Do not include passwords or access tokens.
Website delivery and security
When you open the site, hosting and security systems may receive your IP address, request time, page path, response status, browser information, and basic security signals. This is used to deliver the page, stop abuse, and fix errors.
Logs are kept only for as long as they are needed for those jobs or a legal requirement. The server is hosted in Iceland.
Using the provider list
You do not need a Traceix account to browse the list. Searches and filters run in your browser. The public site does not intentionally build a profile from those searches and does not include advertising analytics.
Discord tickets and OAuth
The Join Discord button opens the Traceix verification page. Discord may receive your authorization request, and Traceix receives the user ID and account information needed to add you to the server and assign the configured role.
Ticket messages, attachments, user IDs, timestamps, and staff replies are processed by Discord and by the Traceix staff who can access the ticket. Ticket records should be deleted when they are no longer needed for the request or a legal obligation.
OAuth client secrets and access tokens stay on the server and are never placed in public browser code.
Images, videos, and links
Provider pages can load images from other websites. That host may receive your IP address, browser information, request time, and the media URL.
YouTube and Vimeo players stay disconnected until you press Load video. External links open only when you choose them. Once you leave Traceix or load third-party content, that service's own privacy rules apply.
Private management area
The unlisted management page stores the management key only for the current browser session. The server checks that key before it accepts changes. Provider records, links, images, videos, and public history are stored in the site database.
Who else may receive data
Data can be handled by the companies needed to host and protect the site, by Discord when you join or open a ticket, and by the host of media you choose to load.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, receive, or object to the use of personal data. You may also complain to Persónuvernd, the Icelandic Data Protection Authority.
Use a Discord privacy ticket to make a request. Staff may ask for enough information to confirm the request without collecting more data than necessary. A Discord ticket may not replace any contact method that Icelandic law requires the operator to publish.
Policy changes
This page is updated when the hosting setup, logging, Discord permissions, ticket system, or media providers change.
